The region and what to do?

The village of SLEIDINGE

Sleidinge, a rural sub-municipality of Evergem, is located about 10 km north of Ghent and is therefore an excellent base for visiting both Ghent and the Meetjesland. There is a bus stop 300 m from the holiday home. You can take bus 56 every hour to the center of Ghent.

Via the E34/N49 it is easy to reach Knokke, Bruges, the Waasland or Antwerp.

WALKING, CYCLING, MOUNTAIN BIKING

Evergem has many cycling and walking routes. They take you via many slow connecting roads through beautiful coupling areas, the Lembeek forests, along the Lieve or the Schipdonk Canal.

Since 2021 you will find the 101 km long mountain bike route that consists of three signposted loops. It is the longest course in East Flanders.

CULTURE

You will already find cultural activities 3 km from holiday home ASTRA. Numerous performances take place in the STROMING cultural center, located in the center of Sleidinge. There is a film screening every Tuesday evening. The program can be found here:
